History
The Research Group on Logistics and Network Infrastructure (LRI) of Federal University of Ceará (UFC) is registered in the Directory of Research Groups of CNPq, certified by UFC, having as origin the Center for Research in Logistics, Transport and Development (NUPELTD/UFC) in 1997.
Since 2000 NUPELTD contributed to the formation of Masters with the Masters’ Degree Program in Transportation Engineering (PETRAN/UFC) with various dissertations and publications of scientific papers. In 2002, researchers of this group became part of the North-Northeast Natural Gas Network (RECOGÁS) developing a project in the area of Natural Gas.
The creation of Master’s Degree in Logistics Management (GESLOG/UFC) in 2004 and its approval by CAPES in 2006, contributed to the formation of the Research Group LRI/UFC originated by NUPELTD/UFC.
